Darwin is a pianist, trumpeter, arranger, and composer from Buffalo, NY. He is currently a sophomore Music Education / Jazz Studies major at SUNY Fredonia studying under Professors Kieran J. Hanlon and Nikola Tomić. He is currently a member of the Fredonia Jazz Orchestra on trumpet and the pianist for all three vocal jazz groups on campus. Darwin has accompanied multiple bands, orchestras, choirs, and soloists on piano and performed in seven musicals on both piano and trumpet since high school.

Darwin has also premiered multiple compositions for jazz ensemble, wind band, and chamber groups. Most notably, the Binghamton University Wind Symphony performed his composition “Amber Sunrise” in December 2025, and the Harpur Jazz Ensemble performed his “A Blossom in Morning Sunshine” in April 2025. During his time at Binghamton, he premiered five chamber works in a recital under the guidance of Professor Hippocrates Cheng. He continues to arrange and compose new works striving for an authentic jazz sound while emphasizing flexibility and creativity.

Darwin has performed with a number of artists including Gabe Condon, Alison Shearer, Bobby Militello, and Michael Davis. He was also a member of the 2023 NYSSMA All-State Symphonic Band on trumpet.
